dahmakan is one of the fastest growing food tech startups in Southeast Asia. They make food delivery an everyday choice by delivering chef-made meals to the customers.

The brief

The brief

This is a case study for a new feature of the mobile app — group ordering. By increasing the number of meals per delivery, dahmakan can increase their profit margin significantly. Users should easily order together within the same delivery address with this feature.

Our approach

Our approach

Operating within the restraint of the current design language, we wanted to make the user flow as simple as possible. There are also many loopholes within the bigger user journey itself that needs to be rectified. However for the sake of the “design case” we tried our best to come up with a design that still makes sense.

The result

The result

The screens for creating group, finding and adding users into group, and switching to group order are created. Users can select ‘individual payment’ if they want: When a group member make payment, it will be shown as ‘ready’ in green compared to ‘pending’ in grey for group members who haven’t make the payment.
